Costa Rica Climate/Weather

What Is The Humidity Like In Costa Rica?

The humidity in Costa Rica is like any other tropical climate. The average air humidity during the dry season is only 53% and usually ranges anywhere from 80% - 40%. However, during the rainy season, the average air humidity is much higher at 73%. The rainy season lasts from May to November and the dry season starts in December and finishes up around May.

Even during the rainy season, long rainy days are rare. Typically, mornings are clear followed by a few hours of heavy downpour in the mid afternoon. In the dry season, especially in late December and January, the days are dry and windy with cool nights. The only exception is the Caribbean coast- which doesn't have much of a dry season and stays humid year round. Overall, temperatures vary little between seasons.
